Well, here we are a week after my post about Victoria Secret possibly marketing sexy lingerie to our tweens and guess what’s in the news today! ‘Teens having multiple pregnancies on the rise’! For real? It says they’re looking for love, their parents are not talking to them about life & etc., and they(the teens) have come to accept pregnancy as fate, even the second and third one!

I know I’m preaching to the choir to a large extent here but if you’re a parent out there with minors still living in your home, just know that not even heavy outside influences can override the love you’ve instilled in your daughters and sons. The thing though, is to instill it! Instill it over the years so that they are galvanized to the direction that’s in their best interest when certain lines are presented for them to cross. Have them understand Love is not something you look for outside of yourself. It’s living within you every second! Look within.

Have them have the talks, the walks, with you, with your clergy, uncles, aunts. Lots of hugs, conversations about Love and listening with your whole self. Do this through the years! Don’t wait until they’re tweens and teens. Age appropriate talks but get it done! They are worth it. So are you.
